_G_e_r_m_i_n_a_t_i_o_n _o_f _O_r_o_b_a_n_c_h_e

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     Orobanche, commonly known as broomrape, is a genus of parasitic
     plants with chlorophyll that grow on the roots of flowering
     plants.  Batches of seeds of two varieties of the plant were were
     brushed onto a plate of diluted extract of bean or cucumber, and
     the number germinating were recorded.
