_L_e_a_f _m_a_s_s _p_e_r _a_r_e_a _a_n_d _p_h_o_t_o_s_y_n_t_h_e_t_i_c _r_a_t_e _f_o_r _p_l_a_n_t _s_p_e_c_i_e_s _f_r_o_m _d_i_f_f_e_r_e_n_t _s_i_t_e_s

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     This dataset contains the leaf mass per area (LMA) and
     photosynthetic rate per meaf mass (Amass) of individual plants
     from 81 plant species at four sites in south-eastern Australia.
     Sites represent contrasts along rainfall and soil phosphorous
     gradients.

         data(leafmeas)

_F_o_r_m_a_t:

     A data frame containing 529 rows and 4 variables:

     _s_i_t_e (factor) The site at which this species was sampled (coded as
          Murrua, WH, RHM, RHW)

     _s_p_p (factor) Species of the observed plant species

     _A_m_a_s_s (numeric) Photosynthetic rate per leaf mass ()

     _l_m_a (numeric) Leaf mass per area (m2/kg)
