Hey, Emacs, we're -*-Text-*- mode!

Version 1.07.3 (to be 1.08)
ftape-tool.tcl can now be used with wish8.0. vtblc now can handle
short volume tables. ftformat detects the FT_CANT_FORMAT flag in the
vendor struct. ftformat now handles "--verify-only" with tape drives
which do not support formatting, and has a "--print-header" switch to
dump the contents of the header segment in a readable form.

New ftape volume table library "libftvt", based on Albrecht Gebhardt's
"libvtblc". For use with e.g. Amanda.

Version 1.07
Fix some little bugs in ftape-tool.tcl and added two more tape
operations buttons

Version 1.06
Bug fix. Need to reset the tape driver after running tests so that the
driver can be unloaded.

Added contrib/Linux/ subdirectory with kernel patches from the ftape
kernel driver distribution.

Version 1.05
Polished up the README file, `configure --help' now lists ALL
available options.

`ftmt' and `vtblc' have been given a DejaGnu testsuite. The tests are
destructive in the sense that one needs a spare cartridge which will
be erased (beside other things ...) by the tests.

Don't include too many pre-formatted documentation into the
package. TeX and dvips should be available on virtually any Linux box.

Version 1.04
Fix a bug in src/ftape-tools/ftape-contents.tcl

Version 1.03
Add documentation. Fix swapout so that it works again. Remove global tests/ directory, add a dejagnu test for swapout.

Version 1.02
Fixed the automake and friends layout. ftape-tool has been split into
smaller pieces

Version 1.01
This is the initial release. These utilities used to be contained in
the ftape-3.x distribution itself. No more NEWS yet.
