CSSDIR is a much MORE POWERFUL, SUPER Charged DIR, and much more!

CSSDIR is a complete replacement and upgrade for the standard DIR command that
is included with OS/2, eComStation(eCS), and Windows environments.

The standard DIR command has changed very little since the late 1980's, when
most work was being done with single sided floppies (still have some 720k
floppies in the closet?). However, today we typically deal with multi-gigabyte
storage systems with 10's or 100's of thousands of files. The standard DIR of
OS/2 or Windows is not capable of adequately managing todays complex storage
structures. CSSDIR is your power tool for cutting through the file directory
maze.

CSSDIR works from the standard Windows (NT, 2000, XP), OS/2 Warp4 or
eComStation command prompt (cmd.exe) window or full screen. A HUGE advantage
of CSSDIR working from a standard command prompt is that it may be able to run
when much of a system is messed up, perhaps directly from a broken booted
system, a local CD boot, or a maintainence partition.

CSSDIR has many more sort and filter features than the standard DIR. These
features allow you to find files that would be difficult or impossible to find
with the standard DIR. With the PRO version, a snapshot comparison mode is
also available which can detect all files that have changed since the last
time CSSDIR produced a snapshot.

Some of CSSDIR powerFULL product Features include:

Limit files by size and/or EA size (OS/2) range, user specified
search strings(s), and EVEN by DATE, [includes many shortcuts i.e.
for todays files use: cssdir /Srd:. Last n days: cssdir /Srd:-n]

Find duplicate files over multiple drives or network shares and EVEN
under DIFFERENT file names, sorted by ascending/descending sizes.

Find unique files amongst two or more paths, Great for file tree compares!

Compute crcs on file's data and even EAs (OS/2 or eCS) intregrated with other
important file information (Great for baseline comparisons).

Produce baseline snapshots to compare differences in determining exactly
what files have changed including file attributes and EVEN EAs (OS/2 or eCS).

Use CSSDIR powerful snapshot compare mode to find which files have changed!

Produce detailed multiple sorted listings over multiple drives including
network drives and UNC in one invocation and pass (saving you time).

Ability to selectively Exclude files (single files, groups of files or whole
directories of files). The exclusion can be based on file prefix, file
extension (i.e. suffixes like .zip, .rar, .tmp, etc), or directory name.
Multiple exclude sets can be defined.

All options (that make sense) can be combined to limit or increase
the files to be included or excluded in the searches. POWERFUL!
User controls how much or how little information is displayed, as well
as customize their own private shortcuts for later use! And much more.
Shareware and Pro versions available for OS/2 and eComStation.
Windows has only Pro version offered. Quantity discounts available.

Professional version includes: reading filespecs out of files, reading
exclude suffixes and prefixes, out of files, no limit on files processed, no
reasonable limit on multiple reports in one invocation, capable of being
monitored by external utility 'cssmon' EVEN over a LAN, and access to the
snapshot (baseline) compare facility.
