The templates are located in /usr/local/share/AbiSuite-2.4/templates/ folder.
In that folder, normal.awt is setup for the USA, with letter-size paper and
language set to en-US. Ditto for Business-Report.awt, Employee-Directory.awt
and Fax-Coversheet.awt.

The directory /root/.AbiSuite/templates/ will override the above, so put your
customised templates in here. Puppy has a custom normal.awt for A4 paper, as
that's what every country uses except for the USA which is stuck in a time warp
still using Imperial measurements.

Note, one problem is that the text "lang:en-US" in the template will cause the
Spell-checker to load the American spellcheck file american.hash.
You can change this text to your own locale
(see the file /usr/local/share/AbiSuite-2.0/dictionary/ispell_dictionary_list.xml
for details on the locale designations en-AU, en-GB, etc., and matching
 spellchecker).

Alternatively, do not have the "lang:" text in the template at all. Then, Abiword
is supposed to use the LANG environment variable, set in /etc/profile, to
decide on what language it is using. But, this mechanism seems to not be working.

Place your dictionary file, for example, american.hash, british.hash, into
/root/.AbiSuite/dictionary/.

NOTICE:
Puppy 1.0.6 official version has the American dictionary "built-in", located at
/usr/local/share/AbiSuite-2.4/dictionary/american.hash.

Puppy 2.10, abiword 2.4.4: took american dictionary out, to save space.
