NAME

eit-own - search packages owning paths


SYNOPSIS
--------
eit own [-h] [--quiet] [--verbose] [--in <repository>] <path> [<path> ...]


INTRODUCTION
------------
List packages owning given file paths.
Paths are searched through all the currently available repositories,
even though you can restrict the search to a certain repository by using
the *--in* argument.
If you want to do the inverse operation (listing files owned by packages),
please use *eit files*.



OPTIONS

"eit own" supports the following options which alters its behaviour.


POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS

    path

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*--help*::
    show this help message and exit

*-q*::
    quiet output, for scripting purposes

*-v*::
    output more package info

*--in*=<repository>::
    search packages in given repository



AUTHORS

Eit has been accidentally prototyped during a rainy Sunday by Fabio
Erculiani who was looking for innovative ways of handling package
bumps in Sabayon Entropy repositories.
A few months later, Eit saw the light.
